About me

I’m a senior lifestyle writer on the Mirror’s feature desk, based in London. I specialise in writing about domestic abuse and social policy through a feminist lens, with a keen interest in digital culture, relationships, politics and class.

I write and edit news and features that span across health, pop culture, showbiz, internet trends, style, food and drink.

Before starting my role at the Mirror, I was an editor at The Independent, with previous bylines in the Guardian and Inside Housing. I have also appeared on BBC radio to discuss class and politics.

At The Independent, I reported on the Domestic Abuse Bill alongside other social policy issues including austerity, universal credit and the housing crisis. I’ve interviewed many survivors of abuse and covered high profile court cases including Sally Challen’s landmark appeal.

In 2020, I wrote an investigation into a troubling TikTok trend which saw young women memeify sex related injuries inspired by the Netflix film ‘365 Days’. After publishing, TikTok decided to do a U-turn on its policy, removing harmful content that was racking up millions of views on the platform. I have reported on Pornhub’s facilitation of abusive content, written comment pieces on the importance of the dating buzzword “gaslighting” finally being used in a legal setting and explored the way in which smart tech is being weaponised against women.
